Syncare
Syncare is a provider-patient management project designed for a healthcare startup
I redesigned a provider-patient management screen for a healthcare startup. Tools used: Figma/FigJam. Februrary 2025
PROBLEM
Healthcare providers have limited time and often manage multiple patients back-to-back, which can lead to confusion, missed details, and difficulty tracking appointments and documentation efficiently
I was tasked with redesigning the provider-patient management screen:
EVALUATING
I used heuristic evaluation (Nielsen Norman Group) and design best practices to assess the design.
Opportunities for improvement
Visual Hierarchy
Task Efficiency
Accessibility
DEFINE
A Clearer, faster workflow for health providers
Efficiently manage and document patient appointments.
IDEATE
Early sketches with clear Information hierarchy
I started sketching with a focus on information hierarchy (for example, positioning the main CTA at the top).
DESIGN
Patient overview card
I refined the hierarchy and eliminated color confusion- the only colors used are green to emphasize when a user has joined the Zoom meeting and the purple stroke to show the active state.

Redesigning the notes experience
• Less clutter, more action – Got rid of extra buttons so providers can do everything in one place without the hassle.
• All-in-one screen - Write, edit, and check notes while seeing patient history- no need to jump between screens!
• I added an indication of who wrote the note and when.

Clarity at first glance
• Looks way cleaner - Better spacing, easier to read, and not overwhelming.
• Placed the patient's name at the top to improve clarity and prevent confusion
• Buttons make sense now - Grouped all actions together so it’s not all over the place.
• Status is clear - You can actually see if the patient is ready without digging through text.

FINAL DESIGN
New provider-patient management screen
Streamlining how providers organize, track, and follow up on meetings—saving time and improving appointment management

Challenges
- Understanding the field and accessing competitor products.
- Limited user exposure.
Next steps
Usability testing to gain insights for design improvements, ensuring scalability- how will the system manage 50+ patients without overwhelming the user?
